I'm connected via VNC - but all I see is a black screen

If you see a black screen initially, just click in the VNC window with your mouse and press any key (e.g., Space, CTRL, or ALT). The operating system should show something now.

If nothing is shown, and you cannot use your server through any other way (e.g., FTP, SSH, or open a webpage), your system most likely froze.

In that case, we suggest you try to reboot your system.
